Sam Nichols

I’m Sam. I’m a writer/journalist currently based in Sydney, Australia and New York City.

My work examines the stories and communities that intersect with healthcare, drug policy, medicine, illness, substance dependence, and technology. You can read some of this work at places like VICE, SBS, and ABC News.

I’m also currently a student at New York University’s Science, Health & Environmental Reporting program.

If you wanted to get in touch, you can email me here.

I am currently based in the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation and Lenapehoking, the ancestral home of the Lenape peoples. Sovereignty never ceded.
